2026-11-13T00:30:00.000Z 2026-11-13T02:00:00.000Z VIRTUAL America/Los_Angeles In this first session, we explore how "a summons" compelled Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz to write. In a defense of her life and work, the cloistered nun said, “I have never written except when forced and compelled, and only to please others.” Vos me coegistis. We explore some reasons to write poetry or short prose and we commit to writing at least one piece for the next session. In this first session, the reason is that you have been summoned. A bit like Joseph Campbell describes as a "call to adventure".
