Sara B. Hobolt presents Tribal Politics: How Brexit Divided Britain, her recently published book co-authored with James Tilley. A decade after the referendum, Brexit still seems to structure political identities, social relations, and perceptions of reality itself. Why have the divisions unleashed by a single vote proved so enduring? Drawing on evidence from surveys, experiments, and political behaviour, the book argues that Brexit transformed a policy issue into two powerful and lasting identities: Leavers and Remainers.
