Václav Havel is remembered as a dissident, a president, and a moral voice of the Cold War. But what does his thinking offer us today, at a time of ‘polycrisis’, lack of moral anchors, polarization, and renewed pressure on civil society across Europe? On the anniversary of the events of 17 November 1989, and in the year marking 90 years since Havel’s birth, this panel discussion revisits Havel’s resonance across different fields and countries.
