Speaker: Eben Cooper, Senior Archaeologist, MOLA Abstract Lambeth Palace is the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury and has a history dating back over 800 years. MOLA and its precursors have been uncovering archaeological evidence at the palace since the 1980s and the most recent archaeological works have been undertaken from 2021 through to early 2026. This presentation will give a background to the archaeology of Lambeth Palace and discuss how the most recent works have aided our understanding of the development of the palace.
