This lecture traces my intellectual and creative journey across literary studies, philosophy and aesthetics, film studies, and creative writing. Moving between these seemingly distinct fields, I have repeatedly returned to questions of subjectivity, time, and representation, as well as to the relationship between aesthetics and ethics and between aesthetics and politics. At the same time, I have explored the artificial divide between theory and practice and the possibilities and challenges of interdisciplinary work.
